Stinger swimsuits, or more commonly known as ‘stinger suits’, are designed to provide a barrier of protection against jellyfish while being in water where these critters are found. There are a few key features to look for when purchasing a stinger swimsuit.

  1. Fit: Ensure it fits snugly and covers your entire body.
  2. Material: Choose high-quality Lycra, Nylon or Spandex for durability and comfort. Brave Beachwear uses only the best Italian fabrics wit a tight knit.
  3. UV Protection: Look for UPF 50+ for sun protection.
  4. Closure: Check for a strong zipper or closure.
  5. Thickness: Balance thickness for protection and breathability.
  6. Durability: Favour options with reinforced stitching and quality construction.
  7. Features: Evaluate extras like hoods or thumb holes.

Our stinger swimsuits are designed with all these features, making them an ideal choice for your jellyfish protective wear.

A stinger swimsuit significantly reduces the likelihood of getting stung but may not provide 100% protection against jellyfish in all circumstances. They should be used along with other safety measures when swimming in areas with potential stinging hazards. 

Yes, our swimwear and stinger swimsuits are all made with fabric that provides UPF 50+ UV protection.

However, we encourage you to also apply UPF 50+ sunscreen where the swimwear doesn’t protect.

At Brave Beachwear we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

We cannot guarantee that your size will still be available once the return has been processed. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you purchase the new size as soon as you see it is available on the website.

  2. Hand wash only & avoid washing machines.
  3. Dry it flat in the shade, not in direct sunlight.
  4. Store in a cool, dry place.
  5. Apply sunscreen and body oils before wearing
  6. Follow the manufacturer's care instructions.

When you click into each product the unavailable sizes will be crossed out. All other sizes are available. Items that are completely unavailable will show an ‘Out Of Stock’ label.

Domestic Orders

Our delivery timeframe is 3-8 business days for metropolitan areas (excluding Perth and Darwin) and up to 14 days for regional areas.

For deliveries to Perth and Darwin, please allow 6-10  business days.

Please note that orders shipped via express post will have a shorter delivery time. Details specific to your delivery location can be seen at checkout.

International Orders

For NZ orders, please allow 14 business days.

For international orders, please allow between 10-21 business days.

Please note that some orders may take longer than the listed timeframe. 

Shipping Charges

Australia

All orders over $199 AUD are eligible for FREE shipping.

Orders under $199 AUD will have shipping charges calculated at checkout.

International

Shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Once the order has been placed, no changes can be made. 

We suggest reaching out to us at contactus@bravebeachwear.com and we will help you get in touch with the shipping carrier to organise a redirect for your order.

Returns & Refunds

At Brave Beachwear we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact us at contactus@bravebeachwear.com. We will then provide an address for return.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items returned to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not Australia, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

For exchanges the same process applies. Once the return has been completed you can purchase your new items.

All orders will incur a return label charge. 
There will be a restocking fee of 10% of the order on any orders above 3 items.

International returns must be sent back using a shipping method that is trackable with costs by the customer.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
